At the conference, Dr. Xiaohu Fan delivered a keynote speech titled “Challenges and Opportunities for China’s Cell Technology in the Era of Cell and Gene Therapy.” Dr. Fan noted that current research in gene therapy is mainly focused on oncology and certain rare diseases, while non-rare and common diseases also hold significant therapeutic potential through cell and gene therapies.
