CAR-T cells are genetically engineered T cells that express chimeric antigen receptors (CARs). The CAR is a fusion protein consisting of three key components: an antibody-derived extracellular antigen-binding domain, a transmembrane domain, and intracellular signaling domains from the T cell receptor complex.
